About the Role:
AWX are seeking a reliable and hardworking Street Sweeper Operator to join a busy team based in Sydney CBD. This role involves operating street sweeping equipment to maintain clean and safe public areas, roads, and industrial spaces. The successful candidate will be safety-focused, punctual, and comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions.
What You'll Do:
• Operating street sweeper vehicles and equipment safely
• Cleaning roads, car parks, industrial sites, and public areas
• Conducting routine vehicle and equipment inspections
• Reporting any faults, hazards, or maintenance requirements
• Following site safety procedures and council/client requirements
• Manual cleaning duties where required
• Maintaining cleanliness standards across allocated areas
• Completing daily paperwork and reporting accurately
• Working efficiently within scheduled routes and timeframes
What You'll Need:
• Previous experience operating street sweepers or similar machinery preferred
• Current and valid drivers licence
• Current Police Check (essential)
• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors
• Strong commitment to workplace safety
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work early morning shifts
• Successful completion of pre-employment medical if required
