AWX Executive is partnering with a well-established Australian manufacturing and distribution business to recruit an experienced Transport & Despatch Coordinator . This is a hands-on role where you'll take ownership of transport scheduling, dispatch operations, customer communication, and freight coordination to ensure products are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time.
This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, liaising with multiple stakeholders, and being the critical link between customers, production teams, transport providers, and warehouse operations.
The Opportunity Reporting to the Customer Service/Transport Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating daily transport and dispatch activities while delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining operational efficiency.
- Coordinate daily transport, freight, and dispatch activities
- Liaise with customers regarding delivery schedules and requirements
- Manage transport carriers, couriers, and freight bookings
- Plan loads and delivery allocations to maximise efficiency
- Raise transport orders and verify freight invoices
- Coordinate dispatch and yard operations
- Support loading and unloading activities when required
- Manage inventory movements, stock transfers, and stocktake activities
- Respond to customer enquiries via phone and email
- Monitor dispatch KPIs and provide operational reporting
- Ensure compliance with site safety, induction, and operational requirements
- Work closely with production, sales, customer service, and transport providers to ensure seamless product delivery
- Previous experience in transport coordination, dispatch, logistics, customer service, internal sales, or administration
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience using ERP or business systems such as SAP, Pronto, ABM, or similar
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach
- Strong customer service orientation and a "can-do" attitude
- Current driver's licence and unrestricted Australian working rights
