We’re searching for a high‑calibre Workshop Specialist to build, wire, test, and finesse advanced mechatronic systems in Brisbane East.
This role is perfect for someone who genuinely enjoys the craft — the kind of person who knows the difference between ‘tight’ and ‘torqued,’ and treats a BOM like a sacred text.
Your Role
- Assemble and integrate automation systems, robotic modules and custom machinery.
- Work with engineers to improve designs, simplify assemblies, and boost efficiency.
- Build and wire electrical panels with neat routing and secure terminations.
- Use machining, fabrication and 3D printing for parts and prototypes.
- Troubleshoot issues and support workshop testing.
- Manage components, procurement and quality checks.
- Hands-on experience in mechatronics, machining, or fabrication.
- Forklift licence or willingness to obtain.
- Familiar with industrial machinery, automation or robotics.
- Able to read drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics.
- Knowledge of pneumatics, actuators, controllers and motion systems.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, prototype focused workshop.
- Advanced fabrication, CNC, TIG/MIG welding, or precision assembly skills
- Experience with motion control systems, VSDs, PLCs, or industrial communications
- Strong skills navigating BOMs, ERP systems, CAD viewers, and workshop documentation
